In the National SEA LIFE Centre in Blankenberge visitors make a fascinating journey of discovery along the Amazon River and through the seas and oceans of the world. More than 50 aquaria reveal the secrets of the underwater kingdom: highlights include the spectacular display of sharks in the shark tunnel, the feared and fearsome piranhas, the national breeding programme for sea horses and a magnificent sea turtle, unique in Belgium! With more than 2,500 animals, SEA LIFE offers a fine selection of the wonders which lie hidden beneath the waves of the Seven Seas.

The SEA LIFE Centre enjoys a well-deserved international reputation for its care and rehabilitation of seals which are washed up along the coast. Our seal clinic and related quarantine zone have been tending to the needs of injured seals for more than 15 years, before releasing them back into the sea.
